Nothing of special significance has happened in the last few days, I simply feel like blogging at the moment. It's a cold, grey, fall day outside and I'm very glad to be inside, warm, and happily typing away.
I'm still working on my article for Faith Networks... its been quite the challenge. You'd think writing from personal experience would be a piece of cake, and it is in some ways, but it has also been a source of growth and frustration for me this past week. I say growth, because I'm learning to surrender my writing to God and let Him work through me - frustration pretty much speaks for itself. :-) Honestly, though, the frustrating part is the fact that I can't seem to overcome my fear of faluire for more than and hour or so. Anyway, that's a whole other paragraph. The deadline is this Wednesday, but I'm hoping to have it to Guy(one of the editors) sometime tomorrow.
Butchering yesterday - overall - went pretty well. It took us about 8 hours total to finish 10 turkeys and 10 geese. 8-(If that smiley I just made up doesn't make sense, trust me, it's not you... ;-)) Makes one appreciate chickens... I think we could do about 4 times as many chickens as we did turkeys and geese yesterday and still end up with the same time frame. Anyway, it wasn't too bad.
Time for me to move on - a certain article is calling my name!
Meg
