Mom and I attended the Illinois Specialty Grower's Conference in Springfield, Illinois this past week. Actually, Mom attended the conference - I took a "vacation" by spending my time in our fabulous hotel room doing school work. It was a great blessing to have so much time to myself and one-on-one time with Mom. Still, if I truly wanted to have a "vacation," I should have left the school work home. ;-)
I've been on the Candida diet for the last several weeks, but it doesn't seem to be doing as much good as I'd like. (The Candida diet is designed to kill off an overgrowth of yeast in the body, thereby restoring stolen energy and health.) My energy levels of late have not been great... pretty poor, actually. But that probably has something to do with all the late-night talks with Mom this past week. Anyway, just 5 more sugar-free weeks to go! It's amazing how creative one can be with stevia and honey when one puts their mind to it....
As it is the Sabbath, we have company over at the moment and are planning to eat in about half an hour. Hopefully we'll all get out to a movie later this afternoon - either "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe" or "End of the Spear". Anyway, I've got to run! Blessings to all!
