Mom, Dad and I went to see a Davinci Code seminar last. It was very interesting and informative. The speaker was knowledgeable, as well as funny. Here is one of my favorite quotes by the speaker (speaking about Dan Brown's genious in designing and writing "The Davinci Code"): "It (the book) makes me think, Hey, I wish I had thought of that!... even if it is herisy. Heretics are always very creative, by the way - you should know that." I don't know why, but that whole bit made us in the audience laugh.
For sci-fi fans out there, I just saw a really interesting movie: Aeon Flux. There is a good deal of violence, and because it is sci-fi some elements of the movie are *weird*; but those things aside, I didn't find the story offensive. The plot was genious, with a few twists and turns that really take one by surprise. Anyway, it seems like I've seen a rash of bad movies lately, so it was refreshing to see one that caught me attention and had me interested from start to finish.
