Safe

I read an amazing quote yesterday. It's from a devotional by A.W. Tozer (which can be found by following the link), and it's powerful stuff:

"Through the blood of the everlasting covenant we are as safe here on earth as if we were already in heaven. We have not passed beyond the possibility of physical death, but we have entered a sphere of life where we can afford to die, knowing that for the Christian death is a bright portal to the ineffable glory."

Tozer puts into words what I have often felt but couldn't express... that in the arms of a loving and sovereign God, I am safe. This is why I can say that no matter what comes, I will be okay. In Christ I have a sense of security that I don't deserve and I couldn't buy, and I am so thankful. He is so good to us!
