Thanksgiving was a near perfect slice of peace, joy and pumpkin cake: the food was excellent, we (meaning the cool aunties and grand-kids) played several *passionate* games of spoons, and I think everyone had a very enjoyable time catching up with the rest of the family. I got to meet Katherine's (my cousin's) new boyfriend - they drove all the way down from Akron, OH together - who turns out to be a very nice guy. When compared with every other guy she's brought to such family gatherings, I think he's the first to truly 'fit in'. He seems to be a very decent guy with an fairly intelligent mind. (Don't mind my critical analysis - I simply can't help it. ;-))
I'm in that place again of being torn between love and hate when it comes to school. While I enjoy learning and I'm always amazed at the new things I discover - especially in biology and history - it's as hard as its ever been to find the time I need for school each day. I really shouldn't complain, though: being homeschooled is one of the biggest blessing in my life right now, aside from the people in it. And learning is being accomplished all the time... just not always in text book form.
Mom and Dad are at the dentists right now. I cringe at the thought: its never been one of our family's favorite places. Anyway, they'll be back early this afternoon, and until then I'm "in charge" of my siblings - one of which just informed me that it's snowing! How exciting! I'm sure I won't be saying that in a few weeks, but it's a happy event at the moment. I just hope we get a good snow fall soon....
Well, I have less to say than I would have expected - but that's OK. I'll update when I have something a little more interesting to report on. ;-)
