A couple months ago, we decided to start a new tradition in my family. And it goes like this: each of the six children are going to receive a customized T-shirt when they graduate from high school. We're just going to start collecting phrases from everyday life that have special meaning to us and record them for all time - on a T-shirt. And I have the feeling that we're going to run out of space on our T-shirts before we run out of memories and quotes... here are some of the ones I can remember right now:
For mine:
"The Special Child" ("You're the *special* child." - Mom; "Mother! You make it sound like I have ADD!!" - Me)
"Queen Nutmeg"
For William
"My Name Is Marsha" (Will's middle name is Marshall...*lol*... let's just say that he had a hard time pronouncing his l's for his first couple years....)
"You don't know! Maybe he wasn't born with the bladder of a dog!" (Trust me, it doesn't make any more sense out of context than it does in - but it was still hilarious. :-))
For Benjamin:
"Kitchen! Dishes! Now!" (The story of our lives for the past year....)
"I'm the only funny one here, and you all know it."
"You don't want to die in the Specific Ocean, do you?" (He meant Pacific....)
For Sarah:
"Is That Rice Cake's Website?" (She meant Chris Rice....)
"Oh! I Know Him... He Works At Olive Oil!" (She meant Olive Garden....)
For Johnna:
"You are NOT more special than me." (Said to me.... *LOL* Maybe she was just told that she was "cute" one too many times.)
"And what, exactly, is "unhealthy" about Cheetos??" (Said in all seriousness... and, once again, to me. *sigh* She's so cute.)
